The 9th State National Amateur Golf Championship
80 players teed off in first round of the 9th State National Golf Championship and the 2nd State National Junior Championship. The competition, organized by the Bulgarian Golf Association with the support of Piccadilly is held in two rounds at Pirin Golf & Country Club in two divisions – Championship and Plate Divisions.
Despite the strong wind, quite good results were scored on the first day, which presupposes a close race for the trophies. Before the second round in the Men’s Championship Division Nevyan Simeonov is leading the ranking with 79 gross strokes, Emil Markov is second with 80, and third – Sergey Stoykov with 82 strokes. Miroslava Mihailova scored best in the Ladies ranking – 16 gross stableford points. Lyubomir Kostov is first in the Boys Division with 78 gross strokes and Ivana Simeonova is leading the Girls Division with 81 strokes. Temporary leader in the Plate Division is Grudi Grudev with 39 stableford points.
